demanding, panicing and George Bush

My new years resolution this year was not to make any new years resolutions, so there's no need to be unhappy about breaking them. So far this plan is working perfectly.

Wierd, that after many years of practicing, it is still impossible to get rid of the anxiety preceding the exams. I guess the demands on myself have been growing in time too and catching up is quite tricky.

Lately it feels that the career in learning swedish and dancing is going better than research work. Those damn demands again! It is just so much easier to deal with relaxing non-compulsory stuff. Although, working is also much more fun and effective since I feel I have to earn all those cool activities that come after the work.

Still very far from speaking fluent swedish though. Realised that I'm a bit too proud to talk english with swedish people (damn demands! again!), but not knowing enough words makes the choise of the topics very limited. I would like to have fun talks with people, but without the words it's kind of complicated. :) But challenges are supposed to be good, right? Since they keep us moving forward.

And the wonderful D (citing T now, but thinking the same way :)) moved to England. So cool but so not cool that now there's noone here who would help to solve all the world's problems behind a cup of coffee (plus all the unforgettable girl-talks of course). Come back, come back, you nice bioinformaticians! Or come to visit more often. :)

Now, when all the "old" friends officially have left Göteborg, was thinking to whom here would I call first when something really good or really bad would happen. I wasn't sure about the answer. Scaaarryyy. Yet something to figure out. Am becoming a big fan of the last mentioned acivity. Wonder if this has anything to do with my broken TV...

The highlight of the day was an e-mail from George Bush writing about "Howe PCB Janell". :D Feeling very important now. Hope it's ok for him that I deleted the e-mail without opening it. Not everyone can be friends, you know.

You can anytime call to Estonian old friends, like me :) Doesn't matter where we live, right.

Anyway, I feel the same way about working. That it's only to earn free time to have fun.
